I resumed running today off road on trails – it is softer and no pain follows. No solid ground for a while… on soft ground I stand… all other ground is… well… too hard!

I ran on Wednesday for 4.25 miles and walked for about 0.75 miles. There is a bit of pain in my leg too – not while running, but afterwards. I will take a week off as a result.
I registered or a half-marathon (www.500festival.com) in May – my brother and I are going to run this instead of the riverbank run. I was born in Indianapolis, so I will be going back to my roots.
Two months off of running changes quite a few things. I felt pretty awkward running today, but I did run 4.0 miles today with 1.3 miles of walking in between. Things are getting better and I don’t have any pain.
I have been trying to run two times a week for the past two weeks. Today I ran 3 miles and walked about 1 mile spaced in between running. There was no sever pain, but I don’t think I am ready to run straight through yet. I hope to run the GRPS Thanksgiving 5K – hopefully someone reading this blog (cough – Garry) will run it with me. It is for a good cause!
I ran/walked tonight 3.0 miles. I probably only ran 1.5 of the miles and I spaced the running with walking every 2.5 minutes. This follows the suggested recovery run patterns I have found online. No pain is nice – God Bless America!
