Sledding and Running

I ran 4.6 miles today after an hour of sledding.  Sledding could be categorized as hill work for sure!  A kid got hurt on the hill and my kids thought that might be a good time to leave.  I had a good week of running, but my leg got a little hurt during sledding.  I will take the next few days off.

Grand Run

I ran 5.4 hilly miles around downtown today.  The roads around downlown are surprisingly hilly and the snow was difficult to get through.  My run could have gone on for a longer period of time if I would have had the time to continue.  I have forgotten what it feels like to run without pain until today.  Afterwards, the feeling is much nicer without pain than with shooting darts running through my shin.

Frozen Review!

My 6.0 mile run was rather cold tonight, but the soft snow is great for my sore leg.  My runs were short this past week, but I mananged to keep my regular running schedule.  My leg really hurt after last week’s 7.8 mile run and a light week was nice.  I fixed my sister’s toilets today which wasn’t fun, but at least my toe isn’t broken!

Weekly Review 2 (exciting titles?)

Today I ran 7.8 miles at a great pace and I attribute that increase in pace to running with Mike this week.  Monday my run was rather hilly around Reed’s Lake with Mike; Wednesday I kept my run short and flat; Friday was pretty hilly (with Mike) as well.  My leg still has an ache associated with the fracture site, but it isn’t something that will keep me off the streets.  My long runs are approaching an hour now and this means I will probably have to break out the water pack for these Saturday runs.  I didn’t run with the GR Club today because I couldn’t drag myself out of bed… maybe next week.

Weekly Review

My running week ended with a 6.3 run down in the John Ball Park area.  The first 3 miles I ran with the GR Running Club and then ventured out alone afterwards.  It was nice to run with other people for a change.  Saturday will be my distance run days.

Hills

I forgot how hilly the roads south of my home really were until today.  My 5.7 mile run was difficult and hilly and for this reason I am creating categories for my runs.  This run should get its due justice and be categorized as a “hills” run.  Running feels great though!

BTW – I purchased COD3 for the xbox360… WOW!
